Bookings & Deposits

A deposit is required to secure your tattoo appointment. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Deposits are non-refundable and are deducted from the final cost of your tattoo.

Deposits may be transferred to a rescheduled appointment when sufficient notice is provided. Deposits may be forfeited if an appointment is cancelled, repeatedly rescheduled, or missed without appropriate notice.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change. If you need to reschedule, please provide as much notice as possible.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice may result in the loss of your deposit.

Repeated rescheduling may require a new deposit to secure another appointment.

No-shows will result in the loss of your deposit and may affect your ability to book future appointments.

Pricing & Payment

Tattoo pricing is discussed prior to your appointment where possible. Final pricing may vary depending on the size, placement, detail, time required and complexity of the tattoo.

Payment is due in full at the end of each tattoo session unless otherwise agreed.

Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking.

Designs & Changes

Tattoo designs are created specifically for each client. Minor adjustments may be possible prior to your appointment, but significant changes requested close to or on the day of your appointment may require your booking to be rescheduled.

We reserve the right to refuse tattoo requests that we feel are unsuitable, unsafe, unethical, or outside our artistic style.

Age Requirements

You must meet the legal age requirements to receive a tattoo in New Zealand.

Valid identification may be requested before your appointment.

Client Responsibilities

Clients must arrive on time, well-rested, hydrated and having eaten beforehand.

Please inform your artist of any relevant allergies, medications, skin conditions, medical considerations or anything else that may affect the tattooing process.

Do not attend your appointment under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.

If you are unwell, please contact us as soon as possible rather than attending your appointment.

Tattooing & Results

Everyone's skin heals differently. While we take every reasonable care to provide a high-quality tattoo, the final healed result can be affected by skin type, placement, aftercare, lifestyle and other individual factors.

We cannot guarantee an identical healed result to the freshly tattooed appearance.

A complimentary touch-up may be offered at the artist's discretion where appropriate. Touch-ups caused by inadequate aftercare, picking, excessive sun exposure or other avoidable factors may incur a fee.

Aftercare

You are responsible for following the aftercare instructions provided by your artist.

Failure to follow appropriate aftercare may affect healing and the final appearance of your tattoo.

If you have concerns about your tattoo during the healing process, please contact your artist before attempting to treat the issue yourself.

Artwork & Copyright

Tattoo designs created by Justunderbroke Tattoo remain the intellectual property of the artist unless otherwise agreed.

We reserve the right to photograph and use completed tattoos and artwork for portfolio, website and promotional purposes.

If you have specific privacy requirements regarding photographs or social media, please discuss this with your artist before your appointment.

Studio Conduct

We aim to provide a comfortable and respectful environment for everyone.

Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour towards artists, staff or other clients will not be tolerated and may result in your appointment being cancelled without refund.

Right to Refuse Service

Justunderbroke Tattoo reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a tattoo appointment where we believe it is necessary for artistic, safety, legal or personal reasons.
